Lonar Lake is the Earth’s largest and only hyper-velocity impact crater in basaltic rock.The crater was formed fifty-two thousand years ago, when a meteor crashed into the earth at an estimated speed of 90,000kmph, weighing 2 million tonnes.

Numerous temples around the lake, most of which stand in ruins today, except for the temple of Daitya Sudan at the centre of the Lonar town, which was built in honour of Vishnu's victory over the giant Lonasur. It is a fine example of early Hindu architecture.Vishnu Mandir, Wagh Mahadev, Mora Mahadev, Munglyacha Mandir and Goddess Kamalaja Devia are the other temples found inside the crater.

In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Mumbai Weekenders, it’s instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.

Littering is strictly not allowed on events. Do not leave empty plastic bottles, biscuit or chocolate wrappers behind. We must carry our own garbage/leftovers back to the city.

Do not carry lots of cash, gold or any valuables. We are not responsible for the loss.

On the event event leader’s decision will be final decision no argument will be entertained.

Organizers of the event reserve any right to cancel the event due to unexpected weather ,lack of participants or any other reasons.

Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
