In a remote village in Tamil Nadu during the 1990s, a city-educated young man returns home and feels conflicted about his mother’s choice to not wear the blouse traditionally expected with her sari. His insistence and her refusal pull both of them into a deeper exploration of tradition, identity and the social gaze. What begins as a trivial cloth issue becomes a silent battle of choice and dignity.
