Bambukat (2016)

Set in 1960s Punjab, the film follows two sisters, Pakko and Sami, and their husbands. Pakko is married to Chanan Singh, a kind but financially struggling villager with a passion for building engines. When the couple visits Pakko’s maternal home, they are overshadowed by Sami and her wealthy husband Resham Singh, a railway officer with a prized motorcycle. Hurt by the unfair comparison, Chanan sets out to prove his worth and chase his dream, by building his own motorcycle.
