An Indian actress of Punjabi origin, Simi Chahal made her debut in the Punjabi entertainment industry in 2014 and later went on to make her Punjabi film debut with the 2016 film Bambukat alongside Ammy Virk. The actress won a Filmfare Award (Punjabi) for Best Debut Actress for her performance. Her other ventures include Sarvann (2017),Rabb Da Radio (2017), Daana Paani (2018) and Bhajjo Veero Ve (2018). Her 2019 releases include Rabb Da Radio 2, Manje Bistre 2, and Chal Mera Putt. Her 2020 release includes Chal Mera Putt 2.

Jimmy Sheirgill whose real name is Jasjit Singh Gill is a popular name in Hindi and Punjabi cinema. He made his acting debut with Gulzar’s directorial venture Maachis in 1996. He has acted in popular movies like Mohabbatein, Bas Ek Pal, A Wednesday!, Munna Bhai MBBS, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Bullett Raja, Tanu Weds Manu, Special 26, Yaaran Naal Baharan and Rangeelay.
