Jude Law is a celebrated English actor who rose to fame with the 1999 thriller The Talented Mr. Ripley for which he also won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Law attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has appeared in three films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: The Aviator, Hugo and The Grand Budapest Hotel. In 2007, he received an Honorary César and was named a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government, in recognition of his contribution to World Cinema Arts. The actor also has an accomplished stage career and has performed in several West End and Broadway productions.
