Set in a quiet village, the film follows the simple yet cheerful life of Raju (Sumanth Prabhas), an auto driver who spends most of his time with his energetic “OscaRRR gang.” His easygoing world takes a turn when he falls in love with Maaya (Nidhi Pradeep), an engineering student brought up under the strict expectations of her father. What begins as a sweet small-town romance gradually develops into an emotional conflict shaped by religion, social status, and differing ambitions.
Directed with a focus on warmth and rooted storytelling, the film leans heavily into its rural backdrop and family emotions. While the narrative follows a familiar love-versus-family template, the rustic setting and light-hearted moments lend it a certain charm. The first half moves at an easy pace, balancing friendship, humour, romance, and village life, making for an entertaining watch. Sumanth Prabhas delivers a sincere and natural performance as Raju, making the character relatable and grounded. His chemistry with Nidhi Pradeep works well in several moments, helping the romantic portions feel believable. However, some comedy scenes involving Sudharshan appear stretched and occasionally disrupt the film’s emotional flow.
Veteran actors Jagapathi Babu and Laila perform adequately in their respective roles, though the screenplay does not fully utilise their presence or emotional potential.
Overall, the film works as a breezy and fairly engaging rural romantic drama that banks more on simplicity, emotions, and village charm than novelty.
