JAWAN is the story of a vigilante. A brutally injured and mysterious man (Shah Rukh Khan) is rescued by kind villagers living near the border. A few months later, the militants attack the village. The mysterious man, who has now recovered, saves them all. However, he seems to have lost his memory. 30 years later, the mysterious man hijacks a metro train in Mumbai with the help of his gang of women comprising Laxmi (Priya Mani), Eeram (Sanya Malhotra), Ishkra (Girija Oak), Kalki (Lehar Khan), Helena (Sanjeeta Bhattacharya) and Janvi (Aaliyah Qureishi). The mysterious man asks the government for Rs. 40,000 crores. But he doesn't want the money for himself. Instead, he donates the amount to a certain economically disadvantaged class. Narmada (Nayanthara), who has successfully handled such hostage operations in the past, is given charge. Despite her best efforts, the mysterious man escapes and so does his team of women. Kalee Gaikwad (Vijay Sethupathi), one of the biggest arms dealers in the world, gets involved in this mess as the government takes money from him to give it to the mysterious man as per the latter’s request. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
Atlee's story is not just entertaining but also makes an important comment on our political system. Atlee and S Ramanagirivasan's screenplay is riveting. There's so much exciting happening in the film every moment that one doesn't get time to think. However, logic takes a backseat in certain portions. Sumit Arora's dialogues are powerful. Several one-liners will induce claps and whistles in theatres.

Atlee's direction is terrific. He keeps the narrative very simple and hence, it'll be easy to understand. The narrative is a bit South style as the film touches upon social issues and at the same time, doesn’t compromise on entertainment quotient. Yet, JAWAN is very much a Bollywood film. The balance has been achieved wonderfully by Atlee. There’s a lot of flashbacks and back and forth in the narrative. It adds to the intrigue value as one is constantly curious to know the back story.
On the flipside, the second half is comparatively weaker. Several moments give you a been-there-done-that feeling. The cinematic liberties are too many. Also, Atlee introduced several characters and plot points but they were forgotten after a point.

JAWAN begins with a bang. Shah Rukh Khan’s entry will create a frenzy in cinemas. Before you can process the sequence, the story jumps to the metro hijack episode. It is not just badass but also very moving, especially the flashback scene. The scenes of Suji (Seeza Saroj Mehta) are cute. The film then again goes on a high with the hospital sequence. The intermission point is another scene where the masses will go crazy. The second half also has its share of exciting scenes but pales in comparison to the out-of-the-world first half. Two scenes that stand out are the ones of the prisoner giving birth in jail and Kalee’s enquiry. The climax, however, is when the film yet again scores a sixer.
Shah Rukh Khan rocks and also shocks as in the last 31 years, viewers have never seen him in such avatars. All his looks are entertaining and add a lot to the mass quotient of the film. Vijay Sethupathi is okay initially but shines in the second half. Nayanthara looks stunning and delivers a first-rate performance. The chemistry between her and Shah Rukh Khan, however, is not as electrifying as intended as the director didn’t devote time to developing their love story. From the girl squad, Priya Mani, Sanya Malhotra and Lehar Khan leave a huge mark. Girija Oak and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya also do well. Seeza Saroj Mehta is adorable. Sunil Grover (Irani), Eijaz Jhan (Manish), Ridhi Dogra (Kaveri) and Ashlesha (Alia; Kalee's daughter) don't get much scope. Omkar Das Manikpuri (Kalki's father) is quite good. Naresh Gosain (Agriculture minister), Ashwin Kaushal (Health Minister) and Mukesh Chhabra (Pappu; Health Minister's PA) are aptly cast. Deepika Padukone (Aishwarya Rathore) is there for nearly 20 minutes and is too good. Sanjay Dutt (Madhavan Naik) is crowd-pleasing.

Anirudh's music comes across as one of the weak points of the film however the songs are lavishly picturised. The title song is like the theme of the film and is the best of the lot. 'Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya' and 'Zinda Banda' work due to the placement. The same goes for 'Aararaari Raaro'. 'Chaleya' and 'Faraatta' are decent. Anirudh's background score enhances the mass appeal.

G K Vishnu's cinematography is very rich. T Muthuraj's production design is superior. Anirudh and Dipika Lal's costumes stand out. Preetisheel Singh D'souza's make-up and prosthetics deserve a special mention. Spiro Razatos, Anl Arasu, Craig Macrae, Yannick Ben, Kecha Khamphakdee and Sunil Rodrigues' action is visually appealing and not too gory. Redchillies.vfx's VFX matches global standards. Ruben's editing is razor-sharp.

On the whole, JAWAN is a mass entertainer at its best with superlative performances, thrilling and clap worthy moments, larger-than-life action sequences, and a never-before-seen avatar of Shah Rukh Khan. At the box office, it will emerge as a blockbuster of epic proportions, setting new records and rewriting existing ones.

No one seems to be having more fun than Shah Rukh Khan, in his action hero era. The romantic Raj and Rahuls have finally released SRK from their magnetic spell so he can wholeheartedly embrace the smouldering Pathaan and Jawan. In Atlee's ambitious action drama, SRK is a jailer moonlighting as a vigilante, but he is also Captain Vikram Rathod, a patriot. What is his story?
Expect ample twists and turns in this tale of desi Robin Hood and his tech-savvy, gun-wielding angels. Jawan is peppered with meta and pop culture references. You will be reminded of Money Heist, Squid Game, The Dark Knight Rises, old Hindi songs and The Lion King but topping it all, is a heady mix of SRK-Atlee tadka.
Only SRK can use the James Bond line and give it his own twist. “Rathod. Vikram Rathod. Naam toh suna hoga?” Lover boy king Khan’s tough avatar treads a new path. It isn’t devoid of his soft, sensitive charm despite the vengeance and violence galore. The Bollywood superstar seamlessly slips into South sensation Atlee’s universe, a rather new territory for him. Together, they entertain in this high-octane action thriller that’s rooted in emotions and familial drama.
An ode to fatherhood and female power, Jawan’s biggest victory is its ability to juggle the personal, political, and social statements. You get the hint when SRK tells his nemesis, “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar.” He calling out the politics of religion and voicing his unwavering faith in democracy is the film’s highlight and the part that is bound to get the most claps. Writers Sumit Arora, Atlee and Ramanagirivasan get the dialoguebaazi right even as the story rotates between several moods – humour, tragedy and revenge.
While Pathaan was high on style, Jawan raises the stakes with a story and purpose, too. The women get their moment in the sun and aren’t treated secondary to the hero, no matter how many SRKs join the party. Deepika Padukone looks beautiful and is solid in an extended cameo. Clash of words, ethics and wigs between SRK and Vijay Sethupathi is fun to watch. Exuding strange humour and rage, Sethupathi makes for a formidable villain. While the brief romantic track between Nayanthara and SRK doesn’t quite work, the girl squad comprising Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak and Lehar Khan make their presence felt.
Promoted as an Anirudh (Ravichander) musical, the film’s background score and songs complement its style and nature. Zinda Banda and Chaleya are the best in the lot, but the latter has the most abrupt placement. While there is nothing that distracts you from the plot that has a dime a dozen twists and turns, at 2 hours 49 mins, the film needed a tighter edit. For action buffs, there is ample adrenaline rush throughout the story. Do not miss the opening sequence.
Jawan feeds off SRK’s stardom. It isn’t intimidated by him.Like a paisa vasool desi thaali, it has all kinds of flavour to satiate your taste buds. The reincarnation of 'action hero SRK' hits the sweet spot.

Massy, massy massy! The chants in Atlee’s background score on Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Jawan are a reminder of what this first time actor - director duo have set out to do. Massy because Jawan has Atlee’s signature stamp all over it - larger than life action pieces, loud over the top background score, gut wrenching emotional drama and songs with 100 background dancers. But this time around he’s charting unfamiliar territory working with a superstar who embodies the emotion of ‘massy’ like no one else. But apart from being massy, the film is also messy. So does Atlee and SRK’s combination deliver or crumble under the huge pressure? Let’s find out.
Jawan is a message driven film. The story of an army officer who has been wronged and his son who later picks up the pieces of what his father set out to do is super high on emotional drama and theatrics. Shah Rukh’s double role as the father and son was a smooth move and that is perhaps Atlee’s only ace of spade in a screenplay that is deeply interspersed with potholes and flaws. A special shout out to Nayanthara, who acts as the perfect support to SRK in the film. But Shah Rukh’s army of girls and their mission to become Robin Hood for the downtrodden and needy is not new as a concept - Money Heist did it recently and Kamal Haasan’s Indian has done it in the past.

But where Jawan stands out from the others is in its treatment and execution. Shah Rukh moulds himself to become the medium for Atlee’s blockbuster screen vision and the camera plays with the actor like a muse with his mentor every time he walks into a frame. The supporting cast in Jawan don’t have much to do, they are there to give the film its size and grandeur because the centre piece of the film is the poster boy - SRK. Vijay Sethupathi as the bad guy is terrific , his scene where he plays Santa with the ho-ho-ho chuckle is menacing and funny at the same time.

Jawan also has Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo and watching her with SRK is pure joy, but her character needed to have more meat. Even the girl brigade doesn’t get much screen presence and Sunil Grover is an odd misfit in the sketchy narrative that flip flops as and when it wants. The film gets preachy and drags a lot in the first half. There are long dialogues on making the world a better place to live, the stand out scene being SRK’s monologue in exercising your right to vote (the timing is unmissable).

Jawan is a big screen spectacle. It is flawed but at a time where everything is over analysed, it makes for a good time at the cinemas. Ready or not, this is a ride that’s definitely worth taking.

Combining the in-your-face maximalism of director Atlee, and the come-get-me grizzled slit-eyed sexiness of star Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan is a pop-masala banger: iss kahani mein action hai, emotion hai, hero hai, villain hai, aur naach-gaana hai, aur kya chahiye? Actually, there is more: fashioned as an unabashed massy entertainer, ‘Jawan’ slips in strong political messaging at every opportunity, making it a film which is very much of the moment.

Anyone familiar with the previous smash-hits of Atlee, who understudied with Shankar, will know how much he loves going big, and giving us family dramas doused in sentiment. ‘Jawan’ has two SRKs for the price of one, separated by thirty years in time, but united in single-minded Mera-Bharat-Mahaan patriotism: the older one is an army man called Vikram Rathore who, after displaying exemplary valour in the face of certain death, bides his time in the shadows; the younger, who goes by the name of Azad, is a Robin Hood type with a thing for disguise, whose main job is to rob the rich to help the poor.
To this end, ‘Jawan’ has a veritable list of those hapless Indians that the ‘system’ has trampled upon: poverty-stricken farmers who commit suicide, the sick who die in badly-run government hospitals, the soldiers who lose their lives because of faulty guns — the citizens who are powerless and helpless because those in power are corrupt and venal. There’s nothing new in the conflict that the story sets up; we’ve seen variations of it, and the vigilante-forced-into-taking-on-the-bad-guys in scores of movies. What lifts ‘Jawan’s pushback against the ‘system’ is the cockiness, and knowingness with which it goes about the whole: Azad’s collaborators are a bunch of young women (Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, among others) who help him pull off a series of wholly-improbable-but-enjoyable heists. Their presence gives the plot an excuse to turn the screen over to girl-power, and for SRK to drawl (reminding you a bit of Vijay in Atlee’s previous ‘Bigil’, in which he plays coach to an all-girl football team): are you ready, girls? It’s also a fun throwback to one of SRK’s most beloved films, ‘Chak De, India’. My first-day-first-day show erupted in hoots and cheers.
Both Nayanthara playing Azad’s love interest, and Deepika Padukone, paired opposite SRK Sr, hold the eye when they are around. There’s also a little girl, cutesy but sweet, to aim at our heart-strings. You can see how much fun the writers have had to bring back certain names in other classic SRK films (Kaveri Amma from ‘Swades’), as well as actors who spark well with him (both Priyamani and Deepika were his able companions in his previous Southern sojourn in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’).
Vijay Sethupathi is the big bad wolf here, as a crooked arms dealer-cum-businessman, the kind of guy whose ill-gotten gains powers governments (ooh, now who is this character based on?). He’s always dressed in black, and he’s always scowling and growling and being menacing, and in a couple of places, does manage to leave a mark.

After a kinetic, zingy first hour, the film slumps in bits, especially when it dives into the part housed in a women’s prison, where all inmates are very stylishly dressed in pale green uniforms with nary a filthy corner to be seen, and the nobility starts becoming too much handle. My eyes started glazing over at the colourless songs-and-dances: not one stays with you when you leave the theatre.
But then comes the last act, in which both SRKs get together, and along with a big Bollywood star in a walk-on part playing an ‘I love Onam’ officer-with-a-Malayali-wife, bring the whole thing to a boil. It involves, gulp, truckloads of stolen EVM machines, and a sequence which is jaw-dropping in its audacity, given our polarised times, in which a superstar, so reviled in the last few years, buoyed only by the massive success of him appearing In and As ‘Pathaan’, in which he reclaims his identity loud and proud, exhorts us to use that finger for voting in the right person, ignoring jaat-paat-and-dharm. And that one also got the audience clapping.
Yes, as expected, the very meta ‘baap-beta’ line brought the house down. But Shah Rukh Khan extends that message, from his family to his watan, turning into the jawan-hero of India that is Bharat, and Bharat that is India.

After watching three hours of nonstop entertainment, I feel Jawan is set to be an all-time mega blockbuster, the term to be used when a film enters the Rs 500 Crore Club.

This is just the kind of movie that I was waiting to catch Shah Rukh Khan in and if the cheers of the audiences of the 6 am show are any indication, this will be unstoppable at the box office.
If you thought you had seen the high points in the trailer, the entire film is simply fire!

What you see in the trailer is not even 10 percent of what the film actually brings to the table, especially when it comes to the build up and then the way it culminates.
Jawan is a mix and match of several south movies, Hindi movies and even Spanish TV, including Money Heist, Valimai, Master, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Jailer, Dhartiputra, even Shahenshah, and then the spirit of Shankar movies come together to make this mass masala film, South ishtyle! It’s clear that Shah Rukh Khan has completely surrendered himself to the vision that Director Atlee carried.

The emotional scenes featuring the team of ladies and an extended flashback featuring Deepika Padukone could have been better, and makes the film slow down for some brief minutes.

But that's a minor blip in this film that moves at a rapid pace and has an out and out action-drama narrative.

What works is the older Shah Rukh Khan, who shows what THE Shah Rukh Khan would be like when he plays new roles in his 60s. His sense of humour is simply amazing.

His younger version has a huge role in the film and it’s amazing how he himself bows down to his father version.

The villain of the piece, Vijay Sethupathi, is a STAR.

He is so lovable even as an evil guy and makes you wait for his scenes to come. His unique dialogue delivery with humour peppered in it makes you laugh at various junctures.

Nayanthara makes an able Bollywood debut.

Priyamani has the largest role amongst the girls while Sanya Malhotra is just there. The other actresses hardly have a part to play.

Music is ordinary though the title song and end credit song is good. Background score by Anirudh is superb.

Catch Jawan only at big screens. It's quite the experience with a houseful audience!

A young South Indian director with a 100 per cent success rate - every one of his four previous films has been a humongous hit - and a Bollywood superstar with an enduring fan following like nobody else's combine to unleash a Hindi mass movie that is as good as any we have seen in recent times.
Jawan, which also has Tamil and Telugu versions released nationwide, brings together the best of two worlds in a manner that borders on the delightfully frenzied and consistently captivating. Shah Rukh Khan, coming off the box-office record-smashing Pathaan, makes the most of a screenplay that has things to say and the wherewithal to making its pertinent points without losing its focus on the primary purpose of providing unalloyed entertainment.

Packed with all the ingredients that you would expect in a high-octane action film, Jawan is a strikingly meta vehicle in which a star communicates directly with his fan base and holds forth on themes that are crying out to be addressed. To that extent, it is somewhat like the 2017 Vijay starrer, Mersal, Atlee's third directorial venture.
In his first Hindi film, Atlee, who has written Jawan with his Theri and Mersal collaborator S. Ramana Girivasan, taps the magnetism of Shahrukh Khan and the spirit of the hot-button themes of the times in a superbly crafted potboiler that mixes big explosive action sequences with intimate emotional scenes.

Jawan tells the affecting story of a soldier without resorting to jingoistic bluster. If anything, the film does the exact opposite. It speaks up on behalf of the masses and touches upon issues that matter to people at the mercy of the politically and economically powerful.

Without naming names or specifying real-life parallels, Jawan weighs in on crony capitalism, bad loans, farmer suicides, neglected government hospitals, malfunctioning military weapons, election fraud and the plight of a citizenry stripped of access to resources that are rightfully theirs.

Jawan turns the spotlight on apathetic ministers, falsehood-peddling politicians and incompetent and compromised bureaucrats, none of whom are willing to be held accountable for a rotting system. The film delivers its message with great flair but without succumbing to gratuitous grandstanding.

Who is better equipped to do all this than SRK, who, even when he plays a larger-than-life action hero on a mission to take down a powerful industrialist who has wronged him and his nation in more ways than one, can stay rooted in the real world and animate the canvas with humanity even as he projects an invincible, superhero-like persona?
Jawan, produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, erases the line that separates the actor playing a fictional figure and the star engaged in a conversation with his audience. The latter is inevitably one-way but as one watches the film in a packed hall its resonance with significant swathes of the audience is palpable.

SRK carries off the onerous task with such phenomenal panache that one barely notices when one entity gives way to the other. The narrative is never in danger of losing its balance even as the performer and the character shorten the distance between them.
On one level, Jawan is a fan service masala film. On another, it is a tale of revenge that is also a political statement, and a loud and clear one at that. Jawan ends with the hero looking straight into the camera - it is positioned in a way that represents the eye of the audience - and tangentially echoing what SRK's character had said more than once in the action-comedy from a decade ago, Chennai Express ("Don't underestimate the power of a common man").

Ask questions, seek answers and use the power of your vote wisely, he exhorts the audience with all the solemnity that he can muster following an act of daring that compels the head of state to accept his demand to intervene.

Jawan opens in a hilly village on India's border - the exact location isn't specified - where a badly wounded soldier is nursed back to physical health. A few months later, he springs to the defence of the hamlet when it is attacked by a band of murderous infiltrators. He repels the aggressors but the brave warrior does not remember who is. A little boy who he saves from certain death promises to find out when he is old enough.

The film cuts to three decades later. A Mumbai Metro train with more than 300 passengers is hijacked by a group of six women (played, among others by Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya) and an ageing man (Shahrukh Khan) in the guise of an Army Captain. He demands that he will negotiate only with one particular police officer, Narmada Rai (Nayanthara, who hits all the right notes).

The parleys over the next few minutes brings an unlettered agriculture minister and a wealthy businessman, Kali Gaekwad (Vijay Sethupathi), into the picture. At one end of the spectrum, we hear the story of a farmer (Omkar Das Manikpuri) forced to kill himself because he has defaulted on a ? 40,000 loan for a tractor. At the other end is the case of a bank waiving off an industrialist's ? 40,000 crore loan.

The captain's first encounter with the law gives way to scenes in a woman's prison where he reappears as a jail warden, Azad, a man who has revolutionised life for the inmates with boldly progressive initiatives. The jailer, with the help of six women who have suffered at the hands of those who wield power, is determined to change how the prison - and the nation - functions.

The first half of the 170-minute film is fast-paced and replete with stylishly executed fight sequences and a track that witnesses Azad and Narmada, a single mother, entering into wedlock. Post-intermission, Jawan recounts the story of Azad's birth, the fate of his mother (Deepika Padukone in a memorable special appearance) and his relationship with the former women's prison jailer Kaveri (Riddhi Dogra).

The flashbacks out of the way, the film returns to the thick of the action around the villainous tycoon whose misdeeds extend to trying to influence the electoral process with money power. The hero and his supporters fan out to stop the baddie and his accomplices in their tracks.

In the chase sequences in the run-up to a rousing climax, director Atlee and his team pull out the stops and come up eye-popping action passages. In the final act, SRK and Vijay Sethupathi (who is as brilliant as ever) square off in a scene that caps a magnificent crowd-pleaser that blends some sharp writing (the Hindi dialogues by Sumit Arora are almost always on the ball) and a high level of technical finesse.

Jawan hits the bull's eye both as a movie that is out to entertain and a vehicle that demonstrates the power of a superstar endowed with a voice that is anything but ordinary. It manifests itself as much on the screen as it does outside its fictive confines.

Masala entertainers in Hindi cinema are often considered lesser than issue based films. Yet, when you get it right, it surely delivers an experience like no other. Over the past few years, the alchemy of good masala films have been forgotten or Hindi filmmakers haven’t really made an attempt. Director Atlee reminds us how it is done with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. The ingredient that has been missing of late in making of commercial films is logic where people don’t have to leave their brains behind and Atlee make sure that that in oodles for this genre. He mixes this age-old success formula with his deadpan and dark humour, and things get pretty delectable in Jawan.

Jawan is nothing less than an event, since it marks Shah Rukh Khan‘s return to the big screen after delivering a blockbuster in Pathaan. Jawan is an ambitious vigilante action thriller that plays to the gallery and lives up to the hype. Far-fetched in writing but high on star power and style, Jawan is a complete masala entertainer. which slowly but steadily finds its footing.
Shah Rukh Khan takes the maximum screen time and rightly so. The first half is packed with some high octane action thrills and some interesting action pieces as it overrides emotions for major part. With Pathan and now in Jawan, we see SRK in a new territory as a full fledged action hero and it feels that the actor is trying to depart from his romantic roles that he has been most loved in by his fans. The actor is ably supported by lady superstar Nayantara who kicks some as*es as a powerful cop. Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist has a good screen presence.

#Jawan is loaded with aces… Razor-sharp screenplay, attention-grabbing episodes, splendid action pieces, larger-than-life frames, peppy soundtrack, also the pace and energy never dips… However, it’s the clash of the gladiators - #SRK and #VijaySethupathi - that’s the driving force of #Jawan.

#Jawan is is bolstered by towering performances from the proficient cast… Right from #VijaySethupathi to #Nayanthara, #DeepikaPadukone and #SanjayDutt, each actor shines in this well-constructed script.

Having said that, #Jawan rightfully belongs to #SRK. It doesn’t take a crystal ball to foretell that 2023 belongs to #SRK… Now let’s hear the ROAR at the #BO.


Jawan packs a solid punch with action, drama, emotion and scale packaged to perfection in the screenplay by Atlee. It’s driven by Shah Rukh Khan like never before in a once-in-a-lifetime kind of heroic characters of Azad and Vikram Rathore. The action blocks are backed by emotions combined with a strong story. With plenty of mass moments, Jawan is PEAK COMMERCIAL ENTERTAINER and is headed to be a HISTORIC BLOCKBUSTER. Its vigilante done right, with Shah Rukh Khan’s touch in commercial palate of filmmaking.

Shah Rukh Khan’s movies are filled with pleasant surprises and he knows exactly what the audiences want from him. King Khan has touched upon every issues which we all need to think about whether it is the farmers’ suicides, painful state of government hospitals or the condition of the arms and armaments our brave soldiers fight with.

‘Unrealistic’ you may call it, but the message is loud and clear, never mess with our jawans(soldiers). With the right actions and twists and turns, multiple characters, SRK’s Jawan was not only entertaining, but engaging too. Once a romantic hero, always a romantic hero and now an action hero too, King Khan knows better than any other Khan how to perform with style. Jawan has truly done justice to Khan’s star persona, giving him what he deserves.

The story goes this way, Vikram Rathore (Shah Rukh Khan), a police officer turned Robinhood, is doing everything possible for the good of the citizens of India. Maybe his techniques are not legally correct, but his mission to give justice to the people is right to the core. Confusion begins when we see two SRKs. Is it a double role that King Khan is playing? Is Vikram Rathore, the same person we saw at the start? Then who is Azad (Shah Rukh Khan)? Are they different? That’s where the real story starts.
Atlee, known to be a massy director, gives the audiences exactly what they want. He and also our favourite SRK knows how to get the audiences back to the theatres. They provide what the audience demands, which is a true masala potboiler with a hidden meaning. I won’t say this was SRK’s best performance, Pathaanwas undoubtedly better. But the finesse with which he carries his age is remarkable. Again, this is different too as he is portraying multiple characters.

Kollywood queen Nayanthra was disappointing though, not for her performance, but there wasn’t much for her to do. A good looking police officer who has learnt a few stunts, that’s it. The expressions were not realistic. I guess not much justice was done to her acting capabilities. Vijay Sethupathi played a villain whom you can’t stop hating and that is the power of his craftsmanship. Deepika Padukone’s short and sweet role was impressive.

Jawan is a socio-political film with a fun twist. And may King Khan always remain Jawan and continue with his good work.
