Synopsis

On a small island off the coast of Belize, treasure hunter Jackson Slate uses explosives in the Great Blue Hole to search for long-lost Mayan gold and accidentally awakens a prehistoric sea creature that can move on both land and water. As the monster begins attacking divers, tourists and the local coast guard, Jackson teams up with marine biologist Sarah and a group of survivors to uncover what was released from the depths. Their hunt for answers turns into a fight for survival as the creature wreaks havoc on the island and its secrets resurface from the ocean floor.
