About the Event
Andal aka Goda, is a phenomenon, whose allure and appeal do not dim through the vagaries of time. As among the very early feminist voices whose searing love and devotion to her Ranganatha/Krishna made the heavens tremor and the Lord Himself surrender to her will, Andal remains an enigma and a beloved icon of the Tamil imagination.
Re-telling is like a translation. Rather a trans-creation. A remarkable life, saturated with emotion, passion and poetry - lived over 1000 years ago- where the landscape of devotion and personal worship were forbidden for women- is a challenge. Even more so, when her words have already been seen, heard, experienced through generations of artists and philosophers.
Naachiyar Next - a production by Dr. Anita Ratnam, an ensemble By Arangham Dance Theatre is an evocative performance, first time in Coimbatore, featuring a talented ensemble creating a visually stunning and emotionally charged experience bringing together dance, theatrical staging, ritual chanting, storytelling and contemporary movement improvisations.

Welcome to a mesmerizing evening celebrating the timeless story of Andal through dance and theatre. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees, please follow these instructions carefully.
Before the Event:
Arrive Early: Doors open at 6:00 PM; please arrive on time to ensure a timely start at 6:30 PM.
Tickets: Ensure you have your e-ticket ready on your phone or as a printed copy along with a valid photo ID.
Campus Guidelines: This event is held on the educational campus of Kumaraguru Institutions. Please follow all campus rules and respect the premises.
Attire: Smart casual or traditional attire is recommended to honor the cultural significance of the performance.
At the Venue:
Entry: Entry will be allowed only upon presentation of a valid ticket and ID at the Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium entrance.
Seating: Please be seated before the performance begins to avoid disruption. Ushers will assist with seating if needed.
