About the Event

Youth Hostels Association of India has been organizing various adventure programs for the last 48 years. People from the poles apart cultures and regions participate in our programs and enjoy our economical and budgeted trekking adventures. A large number of volunteers work with dedication, and support us for running these programs.

As a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of YHAI National Trekking, in 1995 we introduced the Family Camping Program for the families of our volunteer camp leaders and other functionaries. Encouraged by the success of this adventure and, on the request of our members, we repeated this program in many years till 2013. This year again, we are organizing the Family Adventure Camping Program in Leh, J&K.

* Program Includes:

 Vegetarian meals, Accommodation with attached toilet & bathroom will be given to each family.

(Participants will have to pay for transportation while visiting all Sightseeing places (Rs.3000-4000 /-Approx.)Per Person including inner Line permit.)

* Day wise Schedule

# Day 01: Reporting (Before 4.30 PM), Training and Acclimatization 

# Day 02: Visit to Srinagar Route ( Sangam,Magnetic Hill,Pathar Sahib Gurudwara,Spituk Moneastry,Hall of Fame, & Shanthi Stuba,Leh Palace,Leh Market)

# Day 03: Visit to Pangong lake, Changla Pass

# Day 04: Visit to Manali Route,Shey Palace,Thiksey Monastery, sindhughat,Hemis,3 idiots School.

# Day 05: Visit to Nubra Valley,Khardungla Pass

# Day 06: Recreation Activities, Certificate Distribution & Checkout after breakfast

Note : Sight Seeing Places may change without prior notice (based on the weather condition).

 

 * Who can Participate:

1. Any YHAI member can participate on first come first serve basis.

2. A family consists of husband, wife and two children up to the age of 12 years. Copy of Birth certificate for the children between ages 10 to 12 years must be attached with application forms or must be submitted at the time of reporting at the Base Camp. Photographs of the Family Head must be attached on the forms.

3. A single person does not constitute a family and shall not be registered for the camp. Parent of very small children should arrange for their bottle feed.

4. Photo ID Proof of the head of the family should be attached with the application form, to be produced at the time of reporting at the base camp.

5. For children above (12-18 years of age, Rs.1000/,18 and above Rs.2000/- per person will be charged. The extra person we will not allow apart from family. ( Husband, wife and two children up to the age of 12 years only)

6. Husband & Wife's membership is mandatory children’s are Above 18 years Membership is Mandatory.

* How to Participate:

Online Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online by paying requisite program fee along with online booking amount i.e. Rs.9975/- ( Rs.9500- Program Fee/Family + Rs.475/- Online Booking Amount) per Family including Husband, Wife and 2 Children up to age of 12 years.

We accept Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card payment on www.yhaindia.org for online payments.

After successful transaction Admit Card will be generated. Participant has to carry "Admit Card", "Trekking Medical Certificate" & "Membership Card"(Print out of membership card may also be accepted) at the time of reporting to the Base Camp.

Offline Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may also apply on the prescribed "Trekking Registration Form" duly supported by a "Trekking Medical Certificate", along with a DD of requisite amount of Rs.9500/-per Family including Husband, Wife and 2 Children up to age of 12 years.) in favour of “Youth Hostels Association of India” payable at New Delhi. The Trekking registration Form, Trekking Medical Form, and DD may be sent to the following address:

Note: Seat once booked may not be re-scheduled or transferred. Medical certificate of the head of family will be submitted and the head of the family certify that all the family members are medically fit. Husband and wife should be members.
