On His Poetry, a very special Sunday morning presentation!
Poet, lyricist, screenwriter, and activist, Javed Akhtar and filmmaker and translator extraordinaire Sumantra Ghosal, come together for the first time in public, to share love of poetry, translations and wicked sparring. A jugalbandi of words, worlds, and languages, Javed Akhtar will present his poems in Urdu followed by Sumantra Ghosal’s luminous translations in English, interspersed with thoughts on inspiration, discovery, process, blocks, happy resolutions. Internal journeys and candid insights all shared with a sparkling humor and wit.
