About the Event
Kiran Nadar Museum of Art in collaboration with Penguin Random House presents - Penguin Dialogues
A one-of-a-kind series of literary events designed to spark engaging and relevant conversations between authors and readers.
The Penguin Dialogues has been a platform for us as publishers, and for our authors, to interact with those who matter most: our readers. The month of June resounds with the sounds of those celebrating Pride Month. But through these celebrations, we can’t overlook those fighting the good fight. What does it mean to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community? What role can one play to ensure the rights of all are protected?
For this Dialogue, we have Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, a renowned transgender rights activist, Hindi film actor, and Bharatanatyam dancer, known for her activism and advocacy for the community, especially transgender rights in India. She is the founder of the NGO Astitva, which works to support and develop sexual minorities. She is also the author of the book "Red Lipstick: The Men in My Life".
