Step into the Poetry Escape Room — a fun, high-energy, deeply personal workshop where you're (willingly) locked in a cat café studio with other wild-hearted writers, and the only way out is through a poem you're proud of.

It's your puzzle to crack. Your process, always. But you'll be given clues, prompts, tools, and tricks to unlock your writing potential, tap into your rawest thoughts, and write something that feels true.

Do you have to be a seasoned writer for this? Absolutely not. You just need to be human - that means, ready to feel your feelings!

Phase 1: Learning

• How to turn a messy thought into a poem

• What makes a poem a poem (imagery, structure, metaphor, etc.)

• Playing with creativity tools to discover your unique voice

• Using vulnerability as a strength in writing and writing without fear

• Breaking ancient rules in poetry and experimenting with the freedom to be your authentic self in writing

Phase 2: Reading from Teething and unreleased episodes of Poems to Calm Down to

• Live reading by Megha Rao featuring Teething, her debut poetry collection, and unreleased pieces of the podcast, Poems to Calm Down to

• Safe space for participants to share their work

• Group feedback, encouragement, and discussion

• Tips on performance and reading with confidence

• Ending on a high: everyone leaves with a poem they love and new friends
