Pandit Ajay Pohankar (b. 1947, Jabalpur) is an iconic Hindustani classical vocalist of the Kirana Gharana, lauded for khayal, thumri, dadra, and fusion. A child prodigy, he earned early accolades at Sawai Gandharva Festival and has dedicated over six decades to music, earning the Tansen Samman (2009) and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (2012)
