About the Event

In the late 19th century, the culture of eating food at a café or restaurant started developing due to the European influence on the city, which was under British rule. The Parsis who had migrated from Iran started setting up restaurants/cafes/bakeries to cater to the British. As the aspirations grew, so did food outlets start springing up. We will explore and try out these authentic food delicacies of Iran/Persia/Maharashtra from the place where they first originated, and listen to the origin story of these famous outlets.

PS:

- Spot the walk leader with the Red Umbrella at the meeting point.

Pune Food Walks (PFW) is a cultural community to promote our rich heritage, history, culture, architecture, food, arts & crafts. It’s a brand owned by Deccan Drifts. The walks are curated & organized by our Founder & Walk Leader, Randhir Jaya Naidu.
