About the Event

Online Session | The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods

In collaboration with STEAM Academy

To mark World Oceans Day, join us for a session and learn about the vital role that oceans play in human lives. Oceans are considered the lungs of the Earth, a major source of food and medicine, and a crucial part of the biosphere. Plastic waste, climate change, water pollutants, and other factors are causing massive harm to the oceans and their habitats. The session will also explore small steps we can all take to protect and preserve the sea and all that it sustains.

Conceptualised by the BDL Museum in collaboration with STEAM Academy, founded by Dr. A.P. Jayaraman. The talk will be delivered by Shubhangi Raajput with an introduction by the Museum's education team.
