Our meetings consist of a screening of an arthouse film, followed by a discussion. The discussion is led by one of our members or sometimes a guest speaker and encourages members to share their thoughts and interpretations of the film.

"Cine Politico" is an unrelenting force of filmmaking that embodies the protest of the artist! With that, we have Raul Ruiz's "City of Pirates", a lucid journey of a maid and a homicidal boy to an island of pirates!

Who are The Parallel Cinema Club?

We are a community-run film society based out of Bengaluru and Hyderabad. We are a group of film enthusiasts who meet up to discuss the real world, auteurs, and themes, and occasionally host guest lectures.
