Join us in our second edition of She Moves Mountains, where we spend a week in the beautiful community of Avani in Berinag, Uttarakhand. Avani is an organisation that has been working in the region for the last 20+ years on various livelihood development interventions across handicraft, clean energy and education. We will interact with artisans, weavers and farmers, learn how natural dyes are made from local plants and flowers, and help the local community improve their business and entrepreneurship skills. If we're lucky and the weather Gods are kind, we will also be in time for the indigo harvest :)

The cost of the workshop is Rs 25000. This includes everything once we reach the village - our stay, meals, workshops sessions and local activities. Travel to and from the village is additional, as are personal expenses of any kind.

Who is this for? Women travelers + mountain lovers who are keen to understand gender roles across urban and rural areas, spend time with a strong women community and care deeply about making a difference. You don’t have to be a trained designer or come from a core background of design/ retail, as long as you come with the right intent 

She Moves Mountains is a unique travel experience, where we bring together women from the cities and women from the mountains. We engage and learn from each other, share stories of personal challenges and successes, find similarities despite our vast differences and leave a tiny, but everlasting impact on the community.
