In 2013, Vashi dropped his debut LP titled Motherland Tourism, which garnered praise from influential webzines such as Wild City and THUMP by Vice and showcased Vashi's ability to craft together organic, textural songs that included samples from old Indian records on top of rhythmic, dynamic hip-hop beats. Influenced by the likes of A.R Rahman, The Beatles, Flying Lotus and James Blake, Vashi seeks to recreate and bring together the intricacies of the producers mentioned above and add his own flavour by using his previous experience as a jazz musician.
