Staccato
Staccato is a Chennai-based contemporary fusion band known for blending Indian classical music with global genres like jazz, blues, and rock. Formed by school friends with Carnatic roots, they rose to prominence after performing at the 2012 London Olympics. Their genre, which they call "Contemporary Classic," features innovative reinterpretations of film songs and original compositions like “Elay.” Staccato is celebrated for its soulful, genre-defying sound that honors tradition while embracing modernity.
