About the Event

Storytelling Session - All Ahoy!

Be an explorer for the day! Draw up maps, chart sea routes, and make your own paper boats to travel! Join us as we explore the different boats and river crafts used in 18th-century India through the drawings of an artist named Baltazard Solvyns. From small ferries to grand yachts, we will learn about them all through stories of thrilling sea voyages with storyteller Sherline Pimenta!

Inspired by our ongoing exhibition 'People of Bengal: Coloured Etchings by F. Baltazard Solvyns', presented in collaboration with DAG.

Dr. Sherline Pimenta K is a researcher, Design educator and Master Storyteller at Kathanika. Her interests include narrative studies, experience design, communication design, and visual language. Sherline has a Master's in Communication Design and a Ph.D. in Storytelling from IIT Bombay.
