Tetsuro Araki joined the animation studio MADHOUSE in 1999. His major works include DEATH NOTE, Attack on Titan, Guilty Crown, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, High School of the Dead and the feature film Bubble, among others. In 2025, he contributed storyboards and direction for Episode 4 of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. He received the Best Director Award at both the Newtype x Machi★Asobi Anime Awards 2013 and the Anime of the Year category at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2014.
