SUMMER ’25 SOFT SKILLS PROGRAM

The ChangeMaker’s Quest

Objectives: The aim of the program is to build soft skills (problem solving, critical thinking, self-efficacy) and empower individuals to become independent and curious through the application of mid-range frugal innovation and the power of asking questions. An important objective is for the learners to be able to approach problems from a newfound lens and be eminent changemakers with significant hands-on experience and case-study takeaways.  

Brief: Over the span of the program, children will be exposed to different sets of activities spanning design thinking, rapid prototype development, additive manufacturing and solutions reaching masses. They will question and redesign existing products, select problems that concern them and try to build a prototype or even an interesting representation of the problem. Attendees will work in teams with support from maker-mentors and, towards the end, pitch their ideas. Selected individuals will also be mentored after the program to launch their products in the real world.
