In the dystopian world Yorgos Lanthimos conceptualizes in his 2015 film “The Lobster,” singletons have to find a romantic partner within 45 days; otherwise, they will be turned into animals of their choice.
This darkly comedic satire explores a world driven by societal pressure, blind conformity, and the ridiculousness within modern relationships.
