Mukt is an Alt-Rock band driven by a passion for both - music and literature; finding themselves compelled to recreate literary treasures in a musical and contemporary form. Their journey is twofold - delving inward to explore legendary thinkers while manifesting these discoveries into more accessible forms to modern audiences. Drawing from a multitude of languages and cultural influences while spanning a wide array of literary genres, their music embraces the foundational elements of rock while infusing it with the rich textures of ethnic folk and fusion sounds.

The Palette of Time is an experimental-cinematic album which translates nature’s time cycle and the flow of the seasons into the contemporary alt-rock sound. It comprises five tracks - each associated with a season with poetry that summarises the feelings evoked in the particular season. The Palette of Time features poetry greats such as Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Amir Khusrau, Zeb Ghauri and Elizabeth Barett Browning.
