Daira is an avant-garde/psychedelic/art rock band from Mumbai. To give you some background on the band, Daira's debut self-titled album was ranked 2nd among the 'Best Albums Released in 2015' by popular music magazine Rolling Stone - India.

Our second album 'Vipreet Buddhi' released earlier in November is a satirical take on the various influences and actions caused by wrong intelligence. This live improv album branched out of mere spontaneity, and was not laid down with a specific concept or idea in mind.

Formed in late 2014, Daira has performed at more than 100 shows at music festivals like The Might Rock Union, Bangalore; Mojo Rising, Kochi; Into the Void, Runn of Kutch; Hornbill Festival Nagaland, headlining concerts at colleges like NLSUI, Bangalore; NIT, Allahabad; Hindu College, Delhi University; IIM Kozhikode; IMT Nagpur and performing at various DIY tours covering pubs and cafes like Hard Rock Cafe, Antisocial, etc. We have played and opened for big Indian artists like Thermal & a Quarter, Motherjane, Thaikkudam Bridge, Skrat, Advaita, Raghu Dixit Project, Nikhil D'souza.
