"Tuesdays with the Bard @ Urban Solace" is featured in the "Limca Book of Records 2016" as "The Longest Running Poetry Event in India".

Over the last 15+ years, “Tuesdays with the Bard @ Urban Solace” poets have wrung tears of joy, nods of recognition, fleeting smiles, happy applause, wistful memories ... and several unforgettable poems.

ABOUT THE POET: Parnika

Parnika has been using poetry as a form of self-expression since her school days. Oscillating between rhyme and free verse, her poems have been described as candid, raw and relatable, bringing a fresh perspective to the everyday.

In 2018, as a personal challenge, she committed to writing 30 poems without sharing a single line online—a difficult feat for a millennial and digital marketer. During this period, she honed her voice with an 8-week poetry course at the Bengaluru Writers Workshop. Two poems from this collection found a home in Ismat: Nazrana-e-Aurat, a feminist anthology. Her work has also appeared in the Valentine’s edition of Perplex magazine and another anthology called Butterflies.

These days, she thrives in intimate poetry circles and open mics, where poetry feels more like a conversation than a performance.
