The Charaideo Maidam is truly a hidden gem of Assam and a place of immense historical significance. Often referred to as the “Pyramids of Assam,” this site reflects the rich heritage of the Ahom dynasty. The maidams (royal burial mounds) are beautifully preserved and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and almost spiritual atmosphere. Walking through the site, you can feel a deep connection to Assam’s glorious past. It’s not just a tourist spot—it’s a cultural and historical treasure. The location is well-maintained, though better signage and more detailed information boards would enhance the visitor experience. It’s an ideal place for history lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking a calm and meaningful outing. Overall, Charaideo Maidam is a must-visit destination in Assam that deserves more recognition for its unique heritage and serene beauty.Read More

Very good place to visit alone or with family. It's a very quiet place and you can stay all day or maybe meditate there. Whenever you go just keep 3-4 hours in hand before 5 pm as you wouldn't be able to cover it otherwise.Read More
