Vieux Farka Touré
Vieux Farka Touré is a Malian guitarist and composer often called “The Hendrix of the Sahara.” Born in Niafunké, Mali, he carries forward the musical legacy of his father, the legendary Ali Farka Touré, while forging a distinct global sound.
Blending desert blues with rock, Latin, and contemporary influences, his music bridges tradition
and modernity. Renowned for his electrifying live performances, Touré has played major stages worldwide, from
the FIFA World Cup to leading international festivals.
