A native tribe (Adivasi) of western India, the Warli or Varli inhabit mountains and coastal regions around the Maharashtra-Gujarat border and the neighbouring territories. They have animistic beliefs, ways of life, traditions, and rituals, yet they have also accepted many Hindu ideas due to acculturation.
