About the Event

Why She Did, What She Did (based on Medea)


Medea (Ancient Greek: Μήδεια, Mēdeia) is an ancient Greek tragedy written by Euripides. It is based upon the myth of Jason and Medea. The plot centers on the actions of Medea, a former princess of the kingdom of Colchis, and the wife of Jason; she finds her position in the Greek world threatened as Jason leaves her for a Greek princess of Corinth. Medea takes vengeance on Jason by murdering his new wife as well as her own two sons, after which she escapes to Athens to start a new life.

Instructions
  1. Latecomers will not be permitted into the auditorium.
  2. Gates will open 15 minutes prior to the show time and close at show times - 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
  3. Free seating at venue so please arrive early.
  4. Food and beverages (except water) are not permitted inside the auditorium.
